COS COB, Conn.–( BUSINESS WIRE )–Chicken Soup for Soul Entertainment (NASDAQ: CSSE ) President and Chief Executive Officer William J. Ruhana today announced the formation of a new senior leadership team, both from Chicken Soup. Spirit Entertainment and Redbox. As previously announced, entertainment and streaming industry veteran Galen C. Smith, executive vice president, and Jonathan Katz, president, will lead a team of executives across multiple areas to support the company’s rapid growth. Both Smith and Katz will report to Rouhana.

Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment Leadership Team will include:

Galen Smith, executive vice president of Redbox and Chicken Soup for Soul Entertainment, will oversee all long-term plans for the company, including strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate services. Reporting to him:

  • Senior Vice President Corporate Communications, Peter Binajeski – head of the company’s corporate communications and public relations;
  • Chief People Officer, Marisa Famulre – continues to direct all people operations;
  • Chief Innovation Officer, Jason Kwong – newly expanded role for the joint business shifts duties to incubating and developing future areas of growth;
