Here’s what you need to know

The Breakaway Music Festival is back this year, and fans of the event will be delighted to have an extra day added to the festivities. The event will run from Friday to Sunday at the historic Crewe Stadium.

Because of the public demand for hip-hop, Sunday has been dedicated to the genre, said Zach Reuben, one of the founders of the Breakaway Music Festival.

The festival’s hip-hop roots run deep in Columbus, dating back to its time hosting Kendrick Lamar in 2013, Chance the Rapper in 2016, Travis Scott in 2017 and others. But after going last year without any hip-hop acts, festival organizers heard overwhelming backlash to bring them back. So, on Sunday, the last day of the show, 21 Savage will be dedicated to hip-hop as the headliner.
